Elegant Vanilla Panna Cotta
INGREDIENTS
2 cups heavy cream
½ cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 teaspoons powdered gelatin
3 tablespoons cold water
Optional: fresh berries or fruit compote for topping
Sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let bloom for 5 minutes.
In a saucepan, heat cream and sugar over medium heat until sugar dissolves and cream is warm (do not boil).
Remove from heat and stir in gelatin until fully dissolved. Add vanilla extract.
Pour into serving glasses or molds and refrigerate at least 4 hours, until set.
Top with fresh berries or fruit compote before serving.
